The Latest...

Another week has come and gone, who would have thought having a baby would make time go by even faster! We just can't seem to find enough hours in the day, but we are enjoying every minute of it.
Here is the latest:
So Travis was feeling a little left out and thought he needed to be babied a little himself. Lets just say Travis got himself quite a boo boo a couple of weekends ago during a softball tournament. He tore his achilles tendon and as you can see by the image below, he is in a cast. Timing is never good with these things but he couldn't have asked for a worse time, not just with a new baby in the house but also due to his busy work season at full swing. Thank goodness it wasn't his right leg, as he can still drive. The Gust family definitely has their plates full and just can't seem to stay away from those doctors or hospitals!
Momma Kelly's baby boys
Just had to grab a shot of the little man and his shirt, dad is so RAD with that cast!
We has a few visitors that stopped by for a visit last week, we should say little visitors for Max. We love visitors, so if any of you are wishing to stop in and meet little Max, please just let us know.

Travis' niece Melissa stopped by with her 6 month old son. Here is a picture of Dominic and Max. Thanks Melissa for all the baby goods for Max!

Kelly had an opportunity to photograph one of her good high school friend's son Aiden's 6 month photos. This was also Aiden's and Max's first meeting, as you can tell by the images they hit it off to a great start. These two guys are going to have lots of fun together as they grow up, hopefully they don't follow too closely in their mothers' footsteps!

Big Hugs, LOVE THIS SHOT!!
Lastly, as of last Thursday we are no longer the owners of 1426 East Calumet Street. After 8 months on the market and seven years of blood, sweat and tears we are saying good-bye to our "first" home. Its a bittersweet good-bye as we are going to miss our neighbors and the short drive to the grocery store, but we are taking with us SO many great memories. We now can fully start enjoying our new home and adding many more memories to our book of "life".
Until next time, enjoy whats left of summer!

Max - One Month Old

Max turned a month old on Monday. Mom thought it would be a good idea to start a series for his "month birthdays". Here is the first of the series and we will continue to share with all of you the next 11 more!

Health update: We had a follow up appointment at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee last Thursday. Max had an ultra-sound on his kidneys and bladder. His urologist is happy with the progress of his bladder and feels that things should only improve more. The renal doctors are still encouraging blood work every two weeks to follow Max's kidney function. His levels are still elevated and are hoping in time that they will get better. If all keeps going well we will not need to go back to visit the hospital and doctors until the end of September, yay!

Max's First Weeks at Home

We have had Max home for two weeks now and we are loving every minute! He is continuing to get bigger and stronger with each passing day. You will not find two parents that have enjoyed every diaper change, poop or pee!!
Max is loving the life as a typical newborn; sleep, eat, poop and repeat. We are thrilled with every new first and thought we would share a few of them with you.

Max enjoyed his first bath and even showed off, peeing all over the bathroom vanity and mirror. Mom & Dad are definitely learning the ropes of having a little boy with a good shooter!

Max enjoying a snooze in his swing, check out the "thinking pose"!

Mommy & Max went to their first summer softball game of daddy's. Max was a good sport and slept through the game with an exception of snack time. Here is a proud dad and his biggest little fan!
Here are a few pics of Max's room. We meant to post them earlier as some of you have been asking to see the room now that it is finished.

A BIG Thank You!!

We just wanted to post a BIG THANK YOU to all of our family and friends. It has been such a blessing to have so many people thinking and praying for us. If you sent a text, e-mail, left a voice-mail, sent a card, visited us or just thought about us...thank you!
You all have given us strength through the difficult times. We thought we would share some photos of our visitors while we were at the hospital.
