A Few of our Favorite Things

Well Fall is here or should we say has come and gone...Burrr! Lately our choice song to sing has been "Rain, Rain Go Away come Back Another Day"! The growing season outdoors has ended but Max's season is never ending! He is growing like a little weed, but one that is cute and we definitely don't want to get rid of!
We thought we would share a few of our favorites that we are currently enjoying...

Max's Favorites...

Loves his new Swing (yes he is asleep in this pic but he really does love it)

Bath time, loves to splish and splash

Tummy time on his activity mat
Mom and Dads favorite...Max's smile!!
FYI: Max's doctors appointment at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee went well. He weighed in at 12.5 lbs and is 24 inches long. Blood work for his kidney levels are moving down in the right direction however they are still not at where they need to be. Good news is that his bladder and tissue surrounding his bladder looks great which means his surgery was a success. Not so good news is that the kidney function is still a 50%, they are still dilated and there is some retention. The doctors continue to be hopeful that in time the kidneys could correct themselves, if not then we will need to look at other options. He are praying that we don't need to look at the other options! Max will need to continue to have labs done which now that he is little more mobile tends to be trying. He really is a good sport though and loves to flirt with those nurses! We head back to Children's at the end of November, we will continue to keep you all posted.

Sunday Morning

We thought we would share a few images of how we enjoy our Sunday mornings or at least how
Jersey, Travis and Max do. While mom makes breakfast the rest of the family hangs out in the four seasons room. This rooms tends to be a family favorite. Max loves looking out all the windows while the pets love looking at any creature that scurries along the yard. Here are a few shots mom was able to sneak...

Max's Baptism

We could have not picked a better way to celebrate our 5 year wedding anniversary weekend than with Max's baptism. On Saturday, Sept. 19th at St. Joseph's Church in Appleton we, along with family and friends took part in this sacred ceremony. Although we had Max baptized while at Children's Hospital back in July, we felt it was necessary to celebrate his baptism with our parish and family back home.
Max seemed to enjoy every moment of it and was all smiles for the parish. A special thank you to Max's sponsors for honoring us with their presence at the ceremony. We look forward to sharing the joys of Max with them!
Here are a few photos from the day...

As you can tell Max was not too happy about having photos taken, we think he was all smiled out from the service!

Max - 2 Months Old

Just wanted to share with you Max's 2 month images. This is the second of his 12 month series and we have to say already our favorite! As you can tell Max is showing off that cute little grin of his. His features have changed so much over the last few weeks, not to mention his never-ending growth spurts. At his two month check-up Max weighs 11.5 pounds and is 21 inches long. We are still going in every two weeks for blood work for his kidneys which we are happy to report levels are moving down in the right direction. Max's kidney function still has a way to go but we are very hopeful. We head down to Children's Hospital to visit his specialists on Tuesday the 29th, hopefully we will continue to get more good news on his progress.
Here are a few more images from the photo shoot, as you can tell Max is already mom's little model and is definitely a trooper when it comes to her creative ideas. Enjoy...

Family Time

We had the opportunity to spend some more time with family. This time with Kelly's mom's family. It was a great time to catch up and for everyone to meet Max. Here are some photos from the day...

Max's Newborn Session

Well, finally after quite some time now we are posting some of the images from Max's newborn session. Its amazing how much the little guy has changed since these images! With the help of Kelly's mom and a pacifier Kelly was able to capture some beautiful images of Max. (By the way Kelly is enjoying photographing in her new home studio)

We also traveled to Turba studio where we had some family images taken. We found out its a little difficult to have Kelly in the photo while also being the photographer! A big "thank you" to Tricia and Shanna for taking some priceless images of the three of us.

If you would like to view the rest of the images from the sessions please visit Kelly's on-line image gallery at:

Piotter Reunion

One of the things we love about summer is being able to spend time with family and friends. Summer always brings us to family reunion events and this year was a little extra special for us. We were able to introduce little Max to Kelly's father's side of the family. It was great to see the extended family as we don't often get together during the year. Here are a few photos from the day...

A Fifth Generation photo (Great-Great Grandma Bea with Max, Great Grandma Jan, Grandpa Al & Kelly) We are so lucky to have 5 generations!

Its so wonderful that Max has two "great" grannies that give lots of love!

Great-Great Grandma Bea and Max (they both have a little of the same expression)

Great Grandma Jan with Max(as you can tell Max was getting a little sleepy)

Max and Grandpa Al (such a great shot of the two)

We just had to include this image of the Great Grandma Bea and Kyle(Kelly's bro) She is just so darn cute and what a great moment captured!
